Core Learning Objectives:
- Understanding ultrasound machine operation, patient data entry, transducer selection, and image optimisation
- Performing fetal biometry, measurements, image storage, and structured ultrasound reporting
- Assessing fetal number, viability, position, movements, amniotic fluid, and placental location
- Screening for aneuploidy and genetic counselling observations
- Training in fetal echocardiography and invasive procedures (Amniocentesis, CVS)
- Identifying early pregnancy findings such as intrauterine pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, and molar pregnancy
- Conducting first-trimester screening, including nuchal translucency, nasal bone, and Doppler assessments in high-risk pregnancies
- Performing systematic fetal anomaly scans using a structured checklist approach
- Understanding fetal growth assessment and the interpretation of uterine artery and fetal Doppler studies

MBBS and DGO: Dr. Goswami completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), followed by a Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO) from R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata in 1997.
FRCOG and Specialist Training in the UK: He furthered his expertise by obtaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) in London. Additionally, he completed specialist training under the UK’s Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board in 2006.
Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound: Dr. Goswami holds a Diploma in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, underscoring his proficiency in prenatal diagnostics.
